SteamTeam Quizzes, or STQ for short, was created by SteamTeam in 2012. Since then it has proved to be one of Calico TV's most popular shows. In each episode, SteamTeam quizzes Calico on five Thomas & Friends episodes. Viewers are encouraged to play along at home to see if they can beat Calico's score. Since it's creation, the series has had nine series and is still going strong. At the end of each series, there is is a competition.

 

When the series first started, the average runtime was just ten minutes per episode and contained little more than just quizzing. Starting with the fifth series, the runtime started to increase and now each episode is thirty minutes long and jam packed with jokes about a Mad Controller, Jaffa Cakes, Yorkshire Tea and whatever else is on SteamTeam's and Calico's rather warped minds!

 

Due to the series' success, a new series of Special Editions which covers other children's programmes was made with one episode airing directly after a series of Thomas & Friends quizzes.  However it was decided in 2014 that these would not return.

 

Also, occasionally, there is an STQ Extra episode which usually contains jokes that were cut from the regular editions of STQ for time rescrictions or because they are too rude.
